Blue Haven Resort and Marina, the Gateway to the True Turks and Caicos Islands, Grand Opening December 5, 2013

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos – July 2013 – Debuting in Turks and Caicos in late autumn 2013 is the Blue Haven Resort and Marina, a luxury property that will become the “Gateway to the True Turks and Caicos Islands.”  Quietly tucked away in the Leeward area of Providenciales, Blue Haven’s grand opening on December 5th will showcase the first and only resort and marina in this exclusive Caribbean destination. The property houses 35 suites and a fully renovated Bellingham Marine 78-slip marina accommodating yachts up to 220 feet on floating docks. An on-site customs and immigration service is available for those arriving to this island paradise by sea.

Accommodations at Blue Haven – which range from the 600 sq ft premier guest rooms to 2,650 sq ft three bedroom suites – will feature two types of interior designs, the first being light and airy with surprise pops of color and the second lending a nautical theme with rich mahogany and classic furnishings. All 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites offer private terraces overlooking the marina and ocean, deluxe kitchens outfitted with Sub-Zero and Thermador appliances as well as amenities including bathrobes, bespoke bathroom products, premium HD flat screen TVs with cable channels, complimentary WiFi and more.

With its premier location in close proximity to all the popular watersports activities in Turks and Caicos, including the world’s third largest barrier reef, Blue Haven Resort and Marina offers an outdoor playground for adventure and watersports enthusiasts right on its doorstep. Just steps from Blue Haven are exceptional spots for scuba diving, bone and deep sea fishing, stand-up paddle boarding and other eco-excursions in the mangroves. Day trips to explore the outer islands of the Turks and Caicos archipelago may also be easily enjoyed. Because of the exceptional deep-sea fishing grounds nearby, Blue Haven is host to acclaimed sport-fishing challenges such as the most recent 2013 Caicos Classic IGFA Billfish Release Tournament.

On-site land activities at Blue Haven will include a spa with 4 treatment rooms, horseshoes courts, beach volleyball, bocce ball, outdoor BBQ areas, a complimentary 24-hour fitness center, oceanfront infinity pool with swim up bar and a stretch of fully-serviced white sand beach dotted with cozy chaise lounges and hammocks.
Blue Haven will provide the perfect locale for destination weddings where nuptials can be exchanged in the waterfront gazebo, on the beach, or on the breathtaking 2,000 square-foot ocean view patio that graces the resort’s Penthouse Suite. A wedding planner will be on site to assist in arranging seamless ceremonies and receptions. With the resort’s ultimate privacy and stunningly natural environment close to private beaches and uninhabited cays, it is literally a honeymooner’s haven.

Dining at Blue Haven will ultimately feature three venues, including the already opened SALT Bar & Grill, a casual eatery overlooking the marina featuring relaxed pub fare, tropical cocktails and stunning views of yachts and opalescent water.  SALT provides bar seating inside, 40 on the alfresco deck and an additional 30 spots for diners who wish to sink into oversized Blue Haven bean bags surrounding small tables in the sports areas. Later in 2013, the on-site Marketplace, a convenience store and deli café offering a wide selection of produce items, groceries, beverages, specialty coffees and freshly prepared foods like sandwiches, pizzas, salads and more will open aiming to turn Blue Haven into a casual dining and excursion destination. The third dining venue, slated to open in 2014, will be the resort’s restaurant, which will offer guests of the hotel and marina an outstanding dining experience.

A fully equipped conference center with meeting facilities will also be available, which will place Blue Haven in the forefront as a top corporate retreat, meetings and incentives destination in Turks and Caicos.

Nightly rates at Blue Haven Resort and Marina start from $300 to $1,450 depending on season of travel and type of accommodation booked. Specials and packages offering guests the wide array of watersports and excursions at and around Blue Haven are available year round. Short and long term berthing at the marina is already available for yachts.
