Nine talented students from the Enid Capron Primary School graced New York with a stunning cultural performance on October 11, 2018. The performance was lauded as the highlight of the ID Travel Group Travelers Collection brochure launch event which was held at the historic and iconic St. Regis New York. The trip was a partnership between Island Destinations and the Turks & Caicos Islands Tourist Board.

Laurie Palumbo, Chief Operating Officer at Island Destinations commented, “Recently the ID Travel Group Foundation for Better Living, dedicated to providing educational opportunities, adopted the Enid Capron Primary School. This year at our annual Travelers Collection brochure launch we invited nine talented students, chosen out of 600, to perform for our hotel partners and travel advisors. This provided a unique opportunity for the children to learn about the tourism industry and for our guests to experience the warmth and hospitality that makes Turks and Caicos so special.”

Pamela Ewing, Regional Marketing Manager of the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board attended the event and commended the students for their remarkable performance. Ms. Ewing commented, “The Enid Capron Primary School students were truly the highlight of the evening. I was extremely proud to witness Turks & Caicos Islands talent and culture on display for an international audience which included some of our prominent travel partners. The students’ performed adorned in the Turks & Caicos Islands national dress and entertained the crowd with folk songs and dance. The nine students were accompanied by Enid Capron Primary School’s Vice Principal, Ms. Delancy and music teacher, Mrs. Wright.
