The 27th Annual World Travel Awards Caribbean Gala was held on January 20, 2020 at Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau, Bahamas. The Turks & Caicos Islands once again captured the prestigious awards for Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination 2020 and Caribbean’s Most Romantic Destination 2020. Turks & Caicos Islands Secures Nominations in USA Today’s 2020 Caribbean Reader’s Choice Awards

The Turks & Caicos Islands has once again received travel industry award nominations, continuing its multi-year streak of accolades. The nominations for USA Today’s 2020 Caribbean Reader’s Choice Awards are submitted annually by a team of travel experts and journalists including Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon and Melanie Reffes, and the winners are determined by popular vote. The Turks and Caicos Islands received the following nominations:  Best Caribbean Beach – Bambarra Beach, Grace Bay Beach and Long Bay Beach  Best Caribbean Beach Bar – Da Conch Shack  Best Caribbean Restaurant – Parallel 23 and Sui-Ren  Best Caribbean Golf Course

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMINISTRY OF HEALTH’S COVID-19 UPDATE #20 BEGINS  The Ministry of Health would like to advise the public that as at 12pm on 31st March, 2020: Since yesterday’s COVID-19 update, as at 30th March, the number of confirmed positive cases remains at five (5). TCI suspected cases of COVID-19 decreased over the past 24hrs: The six suspected cases are TCI residents returning from countries with local transmission and contacts of a confirmed case (6).
