The Turks and Caicos Islands has been nominated for the 2018 World Travel Award for the category of Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination. This coveted award has been captured by the Turks and Caicos Islands since 2015 and from 2012 to 2014 by Grace Bay Beach specifically.
The World Travel Award is the most prominent awarding institution in the travel and tourism industry. Since its founding in 1993, the World Travel Awards has bestowed the prestigious honor of Caribbean’s Leading Beach Destination to other countries such as Jamaica, however the Turks and Caicos Islands has succeeded at reigning the title over the past six years. The World Travel Awards are highly regarded worldwide and has established its purpose which is to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

With its pristine beaches and breathtaking turquoise waters, it is not surprising that the Turks and Caicos Islands is continually nominated and awarded. Turks and Caicos Islands has received notable recognition in recent months having attained awards and accolades including Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice 2018 – #1 Beach in the World.

The 25th World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony will be held at Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica on September 22, 2018. The world class event is expected to convene the top industry leaders and high level tourism professionals from the Caribbean region.
