Turks and Caicos Tourist Board Kicks off September with Aggressive Marketing Campaigns

The Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board has launched multiple advertising and marketing campaigns in September to promote the destination. The Turks and Caicos Islands will be featured on the US television game show, Wheel of Fortune. The thirty sixth season of Wheel of Fortune premiered on September 10, 2018 and Turks and Caicos will be featured on the September 13th episode as well as a subsequent episode in the new season. The marketing campaign was coordinated by the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board and the destination will benefit from substantial publicity. Wheel of Fortune, hosted by Pat Sajak, is the most watched and one of the longest-running syndicated game shows in the United States averaging 25 million weekly viewers. The Turks and Caicos Islands trailer will showcase Ocean Club Resorts and the Turks and Caicos Collection in twenty second video placements during the game show.

The Wheel of Fortune advertising campaign is just one part of a strategic marketing plan produced by the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board for the month of September. Additionally, the Tourist Board has produced a vivid promotional video which is currently being broadcast in Times Square, NY on triple play screens. The projected exposure for this advertisement is over 1 million per week. The advertisement went live in Times Square on September 1st and will run for a period of sixty one days.

Pamela Ewing, Regional Marketing Manager of the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board commented, “Wheel of Fortune has proven to be an effective and popular medium for destination marketing and we are thrilled to present brand Turks and Caicos to their large television audience. Families typically gather to watch the show and we’re hoping to bring the splendor of the Turks and Caicos Islands right into their living rooms. Our advertisement in Times Square, a location which provides optimal exposure for brands, will feature visually stimulating footage that tells the story of our islands and which will certainly capture the attention of potential visitors to our islands”.

These advertising campaigns will be complemented with a US Sales Blitz with exhibitions in key markets throughout the United States including New York, Atlanta, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Chicago during the month of September.
