Welcoming in a healthy new year.

The annual Move-a-thon held in January in Turks and Caicos is a celebration of starting the new year off in the right way! This year there was a half marathon, 10K and 5K races as well as beach games for the kids and stalls from local health and wellness practitioners. The funds raised during this event helps to promote the community projects of the non profit, Nutrition in Demand.  Last year’s funds were donated to Provo Primary to hold Nutrition Education/culinary classes for children in grades 2-6.

There was a great turnout despite the early start (got to beat that hot sun!) and lots of smiling faces.

Big thanks to  Tamika Handfield MS, RD from Nutrition in Demand and all the other helpers for making this happen.
